Launched officially in February of 1995, the Motorola Wireless Data Group (WDG)
website was immediately rated one of
the top 100 sites on the Net by Interactive
Age Magazine. Building on a large content base, Columbus Group teamed
with Moondog Studios to design a site that highlights
key product features while facilitating
clear navigation through extensive product information. With
a corporate consumer target audience having access to larger bandwidth,
we were able to design higher KB interactive features: an online interactive
demonstration using Netscape's server push technology was designed to give users
the ability to visually explore the Motorola Envoy's product features.
Columbus Group also facilitated the build
of an Intranet for Motorola, providing
a select group of Motorola employees worldwide access to a number of communication forums.
A verification system was put into effect that screened potential users from entering the system
while providing seamless access for identified members.
